Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 12, 2026
1. Our commitment
9tenant is built for renters, and renters are everyone. We want the 9tenant website and app to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
2. The standard we aim for
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We do not claim full conformance today — 9tenant is a young product in active development — but WCAG 2.2 AA is the bar we design and review against, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs, not suggestions.
3. What we've done so far
Measures already in place across the site and app include:
- A “skip to main content” link on public pages.
- Visible focus outlines on interactive elements.
- Semantic HTML landmarks and labels — headings, nav, main, and form fields with programmatic labels.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, and forms.
- Decorative graphics marked
aria-hiddenso screen readers skip them. - High-contrast text on solid backgrounds throughout.
4. Known limitations
Some parts of the product don’t yet meet the bar we’re aiming for:
- Some illustrative previews on the landing page are visual compositions with no text alternative (they are marked decorative).
- PDF exports of your record may not be fully tagged for screen readers yet.
- Third-party surfaces we embed — sign-in, payment checkout — are controlled by their vendors, and their accessibility may differ from ours.
5. Tell us what's broken
If something on 9tenant is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to know — that report helps us fix it for you and for everyone after you. Use the contact form or email hi@9tenant.com. Please include the page you were on and the assistive technology you were using, if any. We aim to respond within a few business days.
